About me

Hi, I am Claire. I live in Binfield, Bracknell with my husband and my dog.

I like the simple things in life, a good walk, a pub lunch, a glass of wine by a roaring fire. I am an animal lover, foodie, and yoga novice. I care deeply about doing the right thing, honesty, hard work and random acts of kindness. I get a genuine buzz for doing small nice things for others, such as buying NHS workers their coffee, or doing a doorstep drop to a friend when they have had a hard day.

I started work when I was just 16, on an apprenticeship, as I was keen to get into business. I didn’t completely know what I wanted to do, or which path I wanted to follow, but I knew I wanted to work hard, make a difference and achieve good things.

 
31 years later, I have enjoyed a squiggly career, in many different blue chip companies, including Panasonic, Reckitt, Softcat, Three, to name just a few, along with a portion of my career working for local charities.

Why me for your business support?

During my 31 years of employment within large blue chip companies, I have won awards for the creation of several key projects and initiatives that resulted in a tangible increase in engagement levels. These range from improving the experience for paternity returners, to a full comms and engagement plan to re-open the office after Covid.

POWER HOUR WORKSHOPS

I can deliver the following sessions to groups of up to 16 virtually or in person, anywhere in Berkshire.

People spend a lot of time in meetings, sometimes in fact, back-to-back all day.  What if your meeting could have a clearer and stricter outcome focussed agenda, stick to time, and be purposeful? This workshop will help you to take a step back, review and refresh your meeting cadence, and implement a more efficient way of planning and executing meetings in the future.

Learning outcomes

  • Explore the effectiveness of your current meetings. Are they adding value or costing you money?
  • Review all aspects of your meetings such as timings, attendees, duration, to check their validity, relevance, and impact.
  • Learn how to implement outcome focussed meetings, with clear and strict agenda and meeting guidelines.

How will this refund your time?

This workshop will enable you to evaluate your current meeting load, where you can reduce or remove meetings, and ensure all future meetings are outcome focussed, productive, and purposeful, meaning they add value, rather than wasting time.

Workshop Overview

Time management is getting more and more challenging, with bigger workloads, more diverse roles, and flexible working.   It is easy to get bogged down and not see a way out.
This workshop explores simple but effective ways to plan, and manage your time, a chance to reflect on all your tasks and identify priorities, along with some great tools and tips for effective time management and efficiency.

Learning outcomes

  • Explore new ways of managing your inbox and to do lists.
  • Take a delve into your current mindset and how you may be able to change this.
  • Do an exercise on mapping your tasks into useful categories.

How will this refund your time?

Working out how to be manage your time better, will free up your time, and by learning how to be more organised, will mean you don’t waste time looking for files, old emails, documents, etc. This in turn will give you your precious time back! 

Workshop Overview

Geese are magnificent birds, and they are also extremely efficient. We can learn a lot from them, and their unique traits. In this workshop we explore all the ways they are so efficient, and how we can learn from them, and apply these learnings into the workplace.

Learning outcomes

  • Discuss ways to build and strengthen your team working.
  • Identify each team members superpowers, their benefits and how to utilise these.
  • Learn a fun but effective way to celebrate success and boost morale and engagement.

How will this refund your time?

If your team are truly aligned, and working together, they will be more productive. If your team know better ways to support each other, and are singing off the same song sheet, the amount of time wasted will reduce. This will allow more time for other important tasks, new projects, or those ‘nice to haves’ you have been putting aside for ‘when you have more time’.

I make them fun, easily digestible, interactive, and ensure everyone goes away with tangible outcomes and action plans. This avoids learning for learning’s sake with no shifts in behaviour or noticeable output.
